About

William James Motors Ltd was founded by Bill Ransom in 1991. Bill apprenticed at Rolls-Royce Motors Ltd, Hythe Road, London.

After a time at Rolls-Royce Bill was sent to Jack Barclays, London. He then returned to Hythe Road/School Road, where he was part of a small team who looked after the Queen's cars and those of other members of the royal family.

In 1989 Bill moved to Weybridge Autos before setting up his own business in 1991 repairing and servicing exclusively Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars. In 2008 he moved the company from Kingston, Surrey to Somerton in Somerset.

Whilst in Kingston, Bill was sharing premises with Introcar, suppliers of new, used and reconditioned Rolls-Royce and Bentley parts to a world-wide market. Bill developed a close relationship with Introcar, servicing and reconditioning parts for them. He continues to maintain close ties with Introcar.
